songs of the forest album cover
Faith Coloccia (Mára) is a perfect music creator.

I’m going to stop adding time stamps for every piece of (non)music I play because it’s pretty time consuming to add. And considering the number of songs I play in each set, I think it’s kind of unnecessary, especially since I’ll be keeping time stamps for each talk break. Let me know if this is a huge loss for you.

I’m moving A Thick Mist to a new time slot on WMWM. It’ll be Wednesdays from 10-noon (EST) which I think will 1: help me be more consistent with my attendance and 2: give more people a chance to listen live.

Also, I finally figured out the RSS thing. I sincerely apologize for enormously fucking that up. Here’s where things stand now.

  • The AGB site as a whole has its regular RSS. The only thing that’s changed there is now the audio for the podcasts shows up in the feed.
  • A Thick Mist has its own RSS. This used the be the case but when I redesigned the site this summer, it completely destroyed the feed and I really didn’t know how bad it was until very recently.
  • A Thick Mist is now up on Apple Podcasts, TuneIn, and Blubrry. If you have other platforms that you would like to use for listening to A Thick Mist, let me know.

I can’t believe I haven’t seen anyone mention the new Il’Ithil record, it’s Blake Green’s (Wolvserpent) solo project which I’d never heard of before. It’s incredible. Also, I am so so in love with both Sarah Gunning’s and Nimrod Workman’s voices. Workman’s song here is just pure despair and it pours out of every word. Also, I think it was kind of funny to play music made from vibrators alongside some dude talking to boys about puberty.

Ausculation of the heart album cover
This is the 100th episode of A Thick Mist so I figured I’d do something a little special. I did an entire episode with no music. Everything I played is a field recording, spoken word, sound effects, etc. There’s only one exception: the Reese Williams record, which is intended to be musical in nature but is made of the widest range of human vocalizations that I thought it fit well here.

I only added time stamps for the talk breaks and the beginning of each section because identifying the rest of the times would have been damn near impossible. Also, most of the time I played excerpts, so even when it says something like “Side B”, I only played part of the full side.

Thanks for listening. Here’s to 100 more.
